A gentle encouragement to momentarily step aside from the clamor of the season so that God might find you in the season.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6 – NIV
“Christmas is everything that God would do, and nothing that we would imagine Him doing.”
During this season, it is my prayer that you would momentarily put aside all of the trimmings and briefly step away from all of the festivities. With the clamor removed and in the space of silence created, may the God of Christmas meet you with such a penetrating intensity that returning from where you’ve come becomes wholly improbable and entirely impossible.
Wishing you the God of Christmas
